Roshbora/White lentil fritters soaked in date palm jaggery syrup is a popular winter dessert in Bengali household, not sold in stores. Only four ingredients needed and very simple to make. Sugar syrup can be used but date palm jaggery really makes these fritters heavenly delicious.
Dolo, a very popular pitha in winter ofNadia district, West Bengal which is quite similar to Dudhpuli( rice flour dumpling dunked in the thickened milk). My aunt learned from her mother-in-law.
