Fresh Pomegranate Juice

This year pomegranate tree in the backyard has given more fruits than last year despite the severe drought.

No fertilizers or pesticides were used. Fruits tastes better when fully ripened on the tree before harvesting.

They are very sweet and juicy. Pomegranates are one of the super fruits packed with vitamin c, antioxidants, fiber and other goodness.

They look gorgeous and smell awesome. We eat pomegranate seeds just like that or sprinkle them on salads. Researchers say drinking pomegranate juice helps good blood flow to the heart. That's why sometimes I like freshly squeezed pomegranate juice because it won't be pasteurized like store bought juice. Isn't that incredible? Yes, it's wholly organic!

They are slightly tart taste but I don't really mind. For two servings, all you need is 2 big pomegranates, hand juicer and 1 cup small ice cubes. Lets juice them.

 Method~
Cut them in half. Put cut side down onto the center of the juicer. Push down a bit and move back and forth in a circular motion. Strain the juice. It makes about 3/4 cup juice. Pour strained juice onto two small glasses and put ice cubes on top. Serve immediately.

                                                                                                  Enjoy!
