Christmas is right around the corner. Everyone is busy with holiday shopping and wrapping the gifts for loved ones. It's time to cheer up holiday spirits. No matter how hectic life is, it's always wonderful feeling to listen to Christmas carols with family and friends and toast the season with a delicious festive drink.
This special hot chocolate is made with only three ingredients, dark chocolate, molasses and low fat milk. It takes less than ten minutes to make.
Ingredients~
4 1/2 cups 2% milk(8oz. cup)
4 oz. 72% dark chocolate
4 tsp molasses or jagerry powder
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
Some marshmallows for toppings and candy canes(optional)
Method~
Pour 4 cups of milk in a heavy bottom pan over medium flame and bring to a boil. Put chocolate, molasses and 1/2 cup of milk in a microwave safe mug. Microwave for 45 seconds or until they melt. Stir well. Add chocolate mix and vanilla into hot milk. Froth it using a milk frother or a whisk. Serve in 4 mugs topped with marshmallows and candy canes if desired. This is simply delicious with or without toppings!
